TheGuarantors is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Property Management domain in a hybrid NYC-based role. You will lead a team accountable for core platform capabilities, including data models, integrations, and APIs used by leasing, renewals, and operations tooling.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes architectural judgment and building reliable, scalable backend systems. You will guide design decisions, ensure production reliability, and mentor engineers while maintaining strong

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, incl. leadership as Tech Lead/Engineering Manager
• Hands-on fullstack experience (Go, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL)
• Strong database fluency and data-model ownership
• Experience with event-driven systems and data pipelines (Kafka/Redpanda) and cloud infra (AWS, Kubernetes)
• Track record of building high-performing teams delivering critical systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Responsabilidades

• Own architecture and design decisions for core data models and integrations
• Provide technical direction for data pipelines and external integrations
• Balance speed, quality, and long-term sustainability in technical tradeoffs
• Uphold engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, reliability, and security across Go/React/TypeScript/PostgreSQL
• Lead code/design reviews and improve team processes and tooling
• Translate business goals into technical plans and drive end-to-end delivery
• Maintain on-call/runbook ownership for property-domain production flows
• Improve developer experience with stable contracts and migrations
• Mentor engineers and promote documentation and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with Product Managers and peers, keeping leadership informed
