Job summary

Gems Setra, a leading global sensor technology provider, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team from concept through validation, release, and sustaining support. You will drive design quality, manufacturability, and readiness for production, while owning engineering processes and metrics to improve predictability and time‑to‑market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing/product environments; leadership in development, validation, release, sustaining.
• Technical authority in multidisciplinary teams; drive rigor and reviews.
• Experience building dashboards/metrics to drive delivery and time‑to‑market.
• FMEA, 8D, A3 or similar problem‑solving methodologies a plus.
• Experience with core design tools; ability to review MCAD/ECAD outputs and understand integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead team from concept through validation, release, and early lifecycle support; ensure manufacturability and production transfer.
• Set high design quality standards; participate in design reviews, DFMEA, validation, and day-to-day coaching.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management to readiness for launch and life‑cycle support.
• Define outcomes and metrics; instill accountability and continuous improvement across the flow of work.
• Co-own engineering processes and workflows (NPI, VAVE, ECR/ECO) with Engineering Systems to improve predictability and quality.
