Job summary

Alamo Group's Old Dominion Brush Company LLC (ODB) and NiteHawk in Richmond, VA, are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the design and manufacturing engineering efforts for Alamo products. You will develop short- and long-term manufacturing strategies, manage projects and budgets, and drive lean production while ensuring cost, quality, and schedule targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years in product design and development
• 2-3 years supervisory experience in project management
• 5+ years in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Designs approved new products or enhancements using CAD; prioritizes projects and plans development cycle.
• Maintains design responsibility for system designs, including structural integrity and performance.
• Maintains documentation of designs: 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Communicates project status to Marketing and Engineering with product performance data.
• Coordinates production of prototypes and delivery of components.
• Assists in preparation of owners/parts manuals; reviews and updates as needed.
• Reports on test progress to Marketing and Engineering staff.
• Provides project support to customer service, dealers, and end-users.
