Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Power Protection & Automation Engineering Development Program (EDP). You will coach and develop early‑career engineers, coordinate rotations and training, and align program activities with safety and project goals.

This hybrid role requires 2+ days in the Wendell office, travel up to 15%, and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Three or more years in power systems, protection, automation, or related areas.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• Knowledge of protection relays, commissioning, and site acceptance tests.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically.
• Must be in Wendell, NC office 2+ days a week.

Responsibilities

• Support the day‑to‑day management of the Power Protection & Automation EDP.
• Coach, mentor, and develop EDP participants throughout rotations.
• Provide technical guidance on protection, automation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate training schedules, rotations, and deployment plans.
• Collaborate with Power Academy, mentors, and experts to improve curriculum.
• Track participant performance, safety, and development progress.
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding for future cohorts.
• Drive continuous improvement of the curriculum and program experience.
• Create an environment that supports early‑career engineers.
