Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Power Protection & Automation Field Technician Development Program (FTDP). This hybrid role is based at our Wendell, NC headquarters and focuses on building, training, and managing a team of field technicians supporting FATs, SATs, testing, and commissioning across the U.S.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in power systems, strong leadership and communication skills, and willingness to travel up

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or developing technical teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor FTDP participants.
• Deploy technicians nationwide to FATs, SATs, field testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate work assignments, travel, tools, overtime, training, and software access.
• Lead curriculum improvement with domain experts and Power Academy.
• Provide technical guidance on switchgear function testing and documentation.
• Develop standard processes, checklists, and training materials to improve quality and efficiency.
• Capture lessons learned and apply to future training and field execution.
