Collective Hub Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the core member platform, balancing hands-on coding with people leadership.

You will guide teams across product, design, and operations to ship high-quality features and iterate based on real customer needs. You’ll drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and promote a culture of high performance and empathy while leveraging AI tools to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years of management experience.
• Technical depth to drive end-to-end systems ownership, including architecture, design, and data modeling.
• Experience as a player-coach with hands-on technical proficiency.
• Experience leading a team delivering a product with solid foundations.
• Organizational leadership, including collaboration with non-technical stakeholders and weighing tradeoffs.
• A track record of encouraging a healthy work environment that is both supportive and challenging.

Responsibilities

• Act as a player-coach, balancing hands-on technical contribution and people leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and grow ICs, fostering a culture of high-performance and empathy.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver a robust platform.
• Define, own, and ensure timely delivery of complex projects.
• Drive clarity about architecture, design, and product decisions across teams.
• Manage team processes and interface effectively with non-technical stakeholders, including Operations.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and drive conversations to executive leadership.
