Autodesk is seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing full-stack team that supports horizontal services and core platforms. You will balance technical leadership with people management, guiding architectural decisions, scalability, and platform reliability.

You will mentor engineers, remove blockers, report project health and risks, and drive engineering excellence across backend services, CMS platforms, and self-service tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of people leadership experience
• 10+ years total software engineering experience
• Strong foundation in computer science, software architecture, and design principles
• Experience leading engineering teams through complex technical projects
• Strong experience designing and scaling distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with event-driven development and streaming technologies such as Kafka
• Strong understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, including React
• Experience with modern CMS platforms
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate project health and risks to stakeholders

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing full-stack engineering team
• Own project delivery, including roadmap execution, planning, risk management, and follow-through
• Provide regular status updates, metrics, and risk assessments to leadership
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks and escalation paths
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to align priorities and deliver outcomes
