Job summary

Autodesk in the United States seeks an Engineering Manager for Platform Engineering to lead a Platform/DevOps team delivering business applications while evolving internal CI/CD platforms. You will guide infrastructure reliability, security, and cost efficiency across multi-region AWS/Kubernetes environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with Product, Design, Security, and Engineering to drive operational excellence and scalable developer experiences.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing engineers.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or related areas.
  • Experience delivering and operating business-critical applications in AWS environments.
  • Strong experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, VPC networking, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with Kubernetes operations, Helm, autoscaling, and infrastructure security practices.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with SRE practices, including incident management, SLIs/SLOs, and operational excellence.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the growth of a high-performing Platform/DevOps engineering team
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and psychologically safe team culture
  • Own delivery for one or more business applications, including roadmap execution, release planning, risk management, and operational excellence
  • Establish and improve SLOs, SLIs, on-call practices, incident response processes, and postmortem culture
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Security, and Engineering stakeholders to align priorities and communicate progress clearly
