Job summary

Rillet is seeking an Engineering Manager, Platform, to own architecture, infrastructure, and developer tooling across the org. You will lead platform engineers, improve observability, CI/CD, and scalability, and set technical direction for reliability and performance.

You’ll hire, coach, and grow a high‑caliber team, partner with leadership to define roadmaps, and drive cross‑functional initiatives while balancing speed and quality. This hybrid role includes NYC in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling teams at high-growth tech companies.
• 6+ years in engineering overall with backend focus and platform experience.
• Proven ability to improve developer productivity and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, infrastructure, and developer tooling across Rillet.
• Build internal tooling and improve CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
• Set technical direction for security, scalability, and external API design.
• Hire and develop platform engineers, establish culture and standards.
• Partner with leadership to translate problems into clear technical plans.
