Jackson Tumble Finish Corporation in Jackson, MI is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and asset reliability across a heavy industrial plant. You will drive preventive maintenance, supervise cross-disciplinary teams, and guide capital projects to improve uptime and safety.

The role blends hands-on plant leadership with long-term engineering strategy, emphasizing continuous improvement and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial machinery knowledge including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, robotics, and automated systems.
• Reliability methodologies such as RCM, TPM, and Lean manufacturing.
• Advanced CMMS and CAD software proficiency; familiarity with regulatory standards (OSHA/NEC).

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary mechanical, electrical, and facility teams.
• Own preventive (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Lead FMEA and RCA to eliminate chronic equipment failures.
• Optimize spare parts inventory levels and manage vendor/contractor relationships.
• Oversee engineering and capital proj ects (CAPEX) from concept through start-up.
• Design and implement automated system upgrades, retrofits, and facility expansions.
• Improve plant utility efficiencies (air, HVAC, water, power distribution).
• Serve as CMMS super-user to track work orders, labor efficiency, and asset history.
• Develop and manage the maintenance OPEX budget and cost controls.
• Track KPIs: OEE, MTBF, MTTR with regular reporting.
