Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Reliability Manager to lead plant reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume production environment. This role will be responsible for equipment reliability, maintenance strategy, capital project execution, and development of a high-performing maintenance team.
The successful candidate will drive improvements in uptime, asset performance, preventative maintenance programs, and overall operational efficiency while supporting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability & Asset Performance
- Lead plant reliability initiatives focused on maximizing equipment uptime and reducing unplanned downtime.
- Implement and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Utilize reliability metrics and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop long-term solutions to recurring equipment and process issues.
Maintenance Leadership
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for maintenance personnel.
- Establish maintenance priorities, work schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support workforce development through training and performance management.
Capital Projects & Engineering
- Manage capital improvement projects from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate project activities to minimize disruption to plant operations.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Support facility, equipment, and process improvements that increase productivity and operational efficiency.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational performance.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions.
- Drive TPM, reliability-centered maintenance, and lean improvement initiatives.
- Partner with operations, quality, engineering, and leadership teams to improve overall plant performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- 8+ years of manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, or engineering experience.
- Previous leadership experience supervising maintenance, engineering, or technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of PM/PdM programs, CMMS systems, TPM, and reliability best practices.
- Experience with industrial mechanical, electrical, automation, PLC, and instrumentation systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
