Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Photo Process Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians in sustaining, optimizing, and advancing semiconductor manufacturing photolithography processes in Lowell, MA. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of semiconductor process engineering experience in a wafer fabrication environment.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience leading engineering teams.
  • Strong experience with photolithography processes across multiple modules.
  • Proven ability to solve complex manufacturing and yield issues using statistical methods.
  • Hands-on SPC, DOE, process capability (Cpk), and yield improvement methods.
  • Experience interpreting process, metrology, test, and equipment data.
  • Familiarity with MES, FDC, and semiconductor manufacturing databases.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in fast-paced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of photo process engineers and technicians.
  • Own photolithography processes including steppers, contact aligners, tracks, overlay, and inspection.
  • Develop and execute capital equipment strategies and tool qualifications.
  • Drive rapid problem-solving and RCA to resolve yield excursions.
  • Establish SPC systems, control plans, and monitoring strategies.
  • Partner with Operations, Integration, Equipment, Quality, and Product teams.
  • Utilize data-driven methods to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor key process and yield metrics and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure process documentation and engineering change records are maintained.
  • Communicate technical assessments and project status to leadership.
  • Support new product introductions and process transfers.
