Job summary

HavocAI, a leader in all-domain collaborative autonomy, seeks an Engineering Manager, Perception & ML, to lead and grow a team shaping perception, ML, and sensor fusion for autonomous systems. You will set priorities, drive execution, and ensure field-ready capabilities across CV, tracking, and deployment workflows.

You will collaborate with Autonomy, Embedded, Data, Simulation, Hardware, Product, Programs, and Field Operations to translate mission requirements into clear engineering priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ML, robotics or a related technical field.
• 7+ years in perception, ML, computer vision, robotics, autonomy, sensor fusion, or related fields.
• 2+ years of direct people-management experience in a highly technical environment.
• Strong understanding of modern perception systems and ML deployment.
• Experience taking capabilities from development to field deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of perception, ML, sensor fusion, and software engineers.
• Own team planning, prioritization, execution, and delivery against the roadmap.
• Establish goals, responsibilities, and expectations; hold engineers accountable.
• Guide architecture and decisions across CV, sensor fusion, tracking, detection, and related capabilities.
• Oversee model training, evaluation, data curation, validation, and deployment workflows.
• Ensure perception capabilities meet real-world performance and field readiness.
• Partner with Autonomy, Embedded, Data, Simulation, Hardware, Product, Programs, and Field Operations.
• Translate customer and product requirements into engineering priorities and plans.
• Use field data and feedback to prioritize improvements and address gaps.
• Establish engineering practices around design reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints; communicate with leadership.
• Coach and develop engineers; recruit and retain top talent.
• Foster culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration.
