Job summary

Shield AI in Dallas is seeking a senior ML engineering leader to advance perception for autonomous systems. You will own architecture, model development, and deployment across vision, vision-language, and autonomy domains.

You'll collaborate with researchers and platform teams to translate state-of-the-art research into production-ready capabilities, while mentoring engineers and shaping the technical roadmap. Security clearances are required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in ML, CV pipelines, and production ML deployment.
• Proficiency with PyTorch and TensorFlow; TensorRT and ONNX deployment.
• Strong 3D vision knowledge and C++/Python proficiency.
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, training, fine-tuning of vision/vision-language/vision-language-action models.
• Build scalable data pipelines and SFT workflows for mission tasks.
• Deploy ML models on embedded hardware using ONNX, TensorRT, and related tools.
• Collaborate with researchers, perception engineers, autonomy teams, and platform groups to productionize ML.
• Establish benchmarks, evaluate failure modes, and guide improvements.
• Improve training infrastructure and tooling to accelerate experiments and deployments.
