Job summary

Google Sunnyvale, CA, USA is seeking a Software Engineer Manager for the Node Performance team. You will lead engineers across multiple teams, own project goals, and contribute to the product strategy while developing your team.

The role involves coordinating across sites to deliver large-scale, high-impact compute infrastructure projects with an emphasis on reliability and efficiency. As a manager, you guide technical direction and execution, aligning effort with broader Google Compute

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage Engineers across multiple teams and locations, guiding project goals and roadmaps.
Contribute to product strategy and help develop the team’s capabilities.
Oversee deployment of large-scale projects across sites internationally.
Drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives within the compute infrastructure organization.
