Job summary

Google in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for the Network Service Level Objective team. You will lead engineers across sites, shape roadmaps for network infrastructure, and drive high-impact architectural decisions to support rapid technology growth.

You will manage and mentor a diverse team, partner with global teams, and oversee cross-functional initiatives that improve availability, latency, and bandwidth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years leading large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.
• 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years in people management or team leadership.
• Experience with distributed systems and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a growing team of software engineers across multiple sites.
• Define and drive mid-to-long-term technical goals and roadmaps.
• Own team OKRs and coordinate with Tech Leads.
• Design high-impact system architectures for network platforms.
• Coordinate with partner teams to align strategies and priorities.
