Job summary

Google Sunnyvale, CA, USA invites experienced leaders to join the Google Fleet team as an Engineering Manager focused on capacity management. You will lead multiple engineering teams across locations, drive a resource distribution platform, and oversee large-scale projects with a substantial product budget.

You will mentor engineers, shape product strategy, and deliver automated capacity management across sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, or compute/storage/hardware.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
2 years of people management or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a resource distribution ecosystem across multiple teams.
Drive artifact-driven software development and form structured artifacts to guide autonomous agents.
Handle issues at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems, risk modeling, and policy enforcement.
Collaborate with partner teams to define requirements and deliver a unified platform.
Coach and grow engineers, building leadership bench and fostering technical excellence.
