Job summary

Network Solutions is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to run and own one team end-to-end—architecture, delivery, and roadmap. You will be the accountable owner for what the team lands, working closely with Product to translate business needs into credible commitments.

You will stay close to the code, write specs, review PRs, run the AI harness daily, and ensure quality, security, and operability. You will manage on-call rotations, scope work monthly, and align with cross-team dependencies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, incl. leadership.
• Hands-on fluency in Perl, PHP, React, Vue; Postgres/MariaDB; VPN, HAProxy, nginx.
• Hands-on AI-assisted engineering with measurable impact.
• Experience making teams faster; DORA metrics or equivalent.
• Delivered and modernized software to committed dates with data-driven forecasting.
• Led engineers across time zones; owned hiring end to end.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture design, delivery and roadmap for your team.
• Own the engineering outcomes for Network Solutions' product space (physical and virtual networking, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, and VPC).
• Stay in the work: write specs, review PRs, ship real changes, and keep estimates current.
• Run the AI harness daily and teach your team to do the same.
• Scope and cut the work: turn roadmap items into scoped, estimated work on a monthly cycle.
• Hold cross-team dependencies to avoid blockers and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain engineering bar to reach and exceed Dora High, with tests and evidence on PRs.
• Grow engineers: regular one-to-ones, growth plans, and end-to-end hiring.
• Own on-call rotation and reduce toil while maintaining reliability.
