Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks an Engineering Manager to supervise engineering personnel at the Delaware Water Gap mill. You will ensure safety, drive efficient execution, monitor performance, and steer capital projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years in heavy industry, and strong financial acumen to model project value. You will coach teams, coordinate with operations, and uphold safety programs across maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Paper Science preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in heavy industry.
• Ability to coach and mentor employees to drive results.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to create financial models.
• Capable of executing complex projects in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate engineering personnel.
• Ensure workforce safety and enforce the safety program.
• Monitor staff performance and report work execution.
• Manage capital projects within the mill.
• Coordinate maintenance with operations and start-up of new equipment.
• Provide problem analysis for equipment history and emergency response.
