Job summary

Optimas is seeking an Engineering Manager in Wood Dale, IL to lead the technical team responsible for the complete lifecycle of fastener products. You will guide design-to-delivery efforts, ensure APQP alignment, and drive tool design improvements on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 10 years’ fastener tool design experience.
• AIAG Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA.
• Lean and Six Sigma experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or materials science.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technical activities of the department.
• Set up of new part specifications and APQP document set.
• Develop and improve tool sets for new and existing parts.
• Advise on customer quality concerns and specification-related issues.
• Drive improvements in tooling design, processes and shop floor support.
