Job summary

Rollon by Timken is seeking an Engineering Manager for Linear Motion & Automation. The role leads multidisciplinary teams designing electromechanical actuators, servo drives, robotics, and automated systems, balancing cost, schedule, and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial automation with 2+ years in a supervisory role, and proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo and industrial protocols. A strong focus on cross-functional collaboration and project management is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 5+ years progressive engineering experience in industrial automation.
• 2+ years in a formal supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of 3D CAD and automation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, simulation, and validation of actuators and motion systems.
• Hire, mentor, and evaluate mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers.
• Manage engineering workflows, KPIs, and budgets for R&D and programs.
• Guide integration of mechanics with automation software and controls.
• Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and manufacturing for manufacturability.
