igus Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to drive the development and implementation of drylin linear actuators, motors and controllers.

The role involves interfacing with engineering, customers and sales to deploy existing applications and develop new solutions. Key duties include technical support, integrating electrical, mechanical and software components, collaborating with global teams, and creating demos and marketing materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Robotics Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of motors such as stepper, servo, BLDC and experience with PLCs and driver/controllers
• Strong technical skills: present concepts and provide hands-on technique using igus products
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Willingness for national and international travel
• Self-starter, team-focused, results-driven with strong organizational/time management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support for igus linear actuators, motors and controllers to customers and igus sales teams within North America
• Integrate electrical, mechanical, and software components into cohesive automation solutions and ensure seamless communication between devices and subsystems
• Collaborate with local and international teams to ensure successful project outcomes
• Work with product expert systems and online tools to identify suitable products
• Develop and maintain training programs and provide training in alignment with the Training and Development Department
• Assist Product Manager in creating machines, demos and marketing materials
• Ongoing observation and analysis of market and competition
• Keep material and product knowledge up to date
