Job summary

CSP Composite in Salisbury, NC, a leading Tier One supplier for lightweight composite components, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer. The role focuses on planning, DFMA, and cross-functional leadership to drive new processes and tooling.

You will develop 2D/3D CAD/CAE models (SolidWorks), apply SIX Sigma tools, manage capital projects, and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment while striving for quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• 5+ years NPD in a team environment.
• 5+ years applying Six Sigma (DMAIC) tools.
• 5+ years applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
• 4+ years managing/supervising direct reports.
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) experience is strongly desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule projects with cross-functional teams.
• Lead, mentor and coach team members.
• Manage multiple programs and tasks concurrently.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize processes.
• DFMA design for manufacturing and assembly.
• Develop new processes and tooling/fixtures.
• Create 2D/3D CAD/CAE models in SolidWorks.
• Perform PFMEA/DFMEA and establish control plans.
• Use DOE and factorial experiments for optimization.
• Support quality systems, SOPs and QMS.
• Plan pilot runs and validate production processes.
