Job summary

CSP Composite in Salisbury, NC, a leading Tier One supplier for lightweight composite components, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer. The role focuses on planning, DFMA, and cross-functional leadership to drive new processes and tooling.

You will develop 2D/3D CAD/CAE models (SolidWorks), apply SIX Sigma tools, manage capital projects, and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment while striving for quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• 5+ years NPD in a team environment.
• 5+ years applying Six Sigma (DMAIC) tools.
• 5+ years applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
• 4+ years managing/supervising direct reports.
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) experience is strongly desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule projects with cross-functional teams.

• Plan pilot runs and validate production processes.

• oExcellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Access and Visio

• oUnderstands bill of material (BOM) and shop routing
• oExcellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
• oSelf-motivated, results orientated, and can work prioritize workload with minimal supervision
• oAble to read and understand Engineering drawings (including GD&T)
• oMechanical Measurement and Instrumentation skills
• oMeasurement System Analysis (MSA)
• oProcess Mapping methods (VSM, high/mid/low-level maps, swim-lane, SIPOC)
• oCapability Analysis (Cp/Cpk, DPMO, % Yield)

Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing or Industrial Technology is preferred.
