Job summary

Westlake Royal Building Products in Salisbury, NC seeks a Process Engineer to lead process improvement at our composite siding and trim facility. You will drive safety, productivity and efficiency through data-driven methods and close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, R&D and capital engineering.

You will apply DMAIC, DOE, and Six Sigma tools to optimize extrusion and molding processes, develop new materials, manage trials, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or Industrial Engineering (ABET accredited).
• 3–5 years of hands-on process engineering experience in polymer injection molding & extrusion.
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and knowledge of DOE, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5-Why, FMEA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, professional operations and accountability across teams.
• Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing to commercialize new products.
• Support capital budgeting and improve production techniques.
• Analyze data, communicate results clearly, and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and test new materials; coordinate extrusion trials; manage costs.
