Job summary

Hearth & Home Technologies, LLC in Mt. Pleasant, IA, is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Fireplaces Business Unit.

You will lead engineering initiatives across Quality, Delivery, Cost and Safety, partnering with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve product and process designs and drive Lean problem solving. This fast-paced leadership role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 5+ years in engineering or manufacturing, with experience in Lean, NPD, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of engineering, manufacturing, or process improvement experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or project leadership within manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering initiatives focused on Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety.
• Drive improvements to product and process design to reduce defects and SCRs.
• Lead material flow initiatives to improve efficiency and manufacturing performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to meet NPD timelines (Gate 4 and Gate 6).
• Establish clear daily/weekly communication to identify interdependencies and remove barriers.
• Develop designs that optimize materials, labor, equipment, quality, and cost.
• Teach, mentor, and coach teams on Lean manufacturing and problem-solving.
