Central Arizona Project in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Services Department, providing civil, mechanical, electrical and control systems engineering support across CAP. You will guide surveying, project management, and contract administration to ensure reliable water delivery.

The role oversees CAP’s capital program, lands management, and regulatory compliance, while coordinating with external agencies, consultants, and contractors to drive

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Ten (10) years of progressive engineering experience.
• At least three (3) years supervising professionals.
• Ability to align department goals with strategic objectives.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Experience managing large operating and capital budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering Services Department and set clear goals aligned to CAP objectives.
• Direct CAP's capital improvement program, asset modifications and lands administration.
• Administer lands, right of way, and land use agreements and maintain drawings/records.
• Serve as AHJ for code compliance; provide final interpretations and plan reviews.
• Oversee design/construction of external water infrastructure projects.
• Direct emergency preparedness for dams and urban canals with EAPs.
• Represent CAP with external agencies, consultants, and contractors.
