Fora Travel is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional sprint team within Fora’s engineering organization in New York City. The role focuses on building products, systems, and workflows that attract and retain advisors and travelers who rely on Fora every day.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of engineering management experience and 8+ years in software development, with strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills to scale engineering efforts in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in engineering management with a proven track record of delivering products and growing teams.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience mentoring engineers, managing performance, and maintaining high engineering standards.
• Excellent communication to translate technical concepts to stakeholders and drive launches.
• Experience recruiting engineers and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of the cross-functional team with clear priorities and sustainable development practices.
• Partner with product, design, and growth to define solutions that improve advisor and member experience across workflows.
• Oversee development of platform capabilities and improve core systems and tooling.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture and implementation discussions to guide high-quality decisions.
• Coach and develop engineers through feedback and mentorship.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment aligned to company values and high performance.
