Job summary

Tanium is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of senior software engineers within the Endpoint Team. You will collaborate with product managers, security engineers, and senior leaders to drive development of core components of Tanium’s Unified Endpoint Management and security platform.

You will hire and coach, define vision and roadmap, and foster a collaborative culture while delivering scalable, native software across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams
• 10+ years designing, developing, testing, and deploying software products
• Proven track record of architecting and delivering enterprise-level reliable and scalable solutions
• Demonstrable understanding of systems level concepts in Windows, Linux, and macOS
• A thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Outside the box/first principles thinker who can come up with pragmatic solutions
• Keep up with industry trends and can assess and utilize new technologies to help solve problems

Responsibilities

• Build exceptional teams of highly qualified and high-performance engineers by hiring, coaching, and instilling ownership
• Work with product managers and security engineers to define the vision and roadmap
• Provide leadership and foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture
• Coordinate requirements, designs, dependencies, and opportunities for collaboration with other managers
• Lead by example to raise the bar and ensure outstanding results
• Adjust team composition and form new teams as needed to meet business needs
• Manage multiple projects through the full software development cycle
• Deliver dependable, scalable, native software across diverse environments
• Lead tenured senior developers and remove roadblocks
