Job summary

Ranger Die, Inc. in Michigan seeks an experienced Design/Engineering Scheduler to organize workloads, balance designer assignments, and ensure projects are started with enough lead time to meet tooling and production needs.

You will oversee issue resolution, maintain strong customer relationships, document all job activity, and push the engineering department toward best practices, technology adoption, and continuous training.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of design principles and manufacturing systems.
• Strong time management, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment physicals.

Responsibilities

• Distribute design & engineering workload to optimize resources.
• Schedule work to balance Designer workloads and customer commitments.
• Communicate time requirements and review status for every job.
• Provide information needed to begin a job to tooling and production.
• Oversee processes to resolve design issues between design, tooling/CNC, and production.
• Maintain good relationships with all customers.
• Alert Scheduler to special customer requirements for shipping dies or parts.
• Ensure company procedures for job documentation are followed.
• Keep Ranger Die's engineering department on the cutting edge in processes, technology, and training.
• Other duties as assigned.
