Job summary

1KOMMA5° Heartbeat AI GmbH is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one cross‑functional app team, empowering engineers to own their work from development through deployment and day‑to‑day operations.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture for complex, undefined problems, reduce technical debt, and foster experiment‑driven innovation while collaborating with English‑speaking colleagues; German language experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years of proven software engineering experience in a fast-paced, scalable environment.
At least 3 years leading cross-functional, agile teams using cutting-edge technologies on distributed systems.
Effective English communication; German is a plus.

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise across the team and take part in the hiring process to find the best talents.
Be an excellent people manager and support your team members in their professional and personal development.
Help your team members create, implement, evaluate, deploy, sustain, and enhance software solutions for complex and undefined problems.
