Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Manager I, Engineering for the Change Experience Platform team. This role focuses on managing a team that builds and enhances internal systems that help Datadog engineers navigate infrastructure changes. You will work alongside teams to develop user-friendly interfaces and improve platform reliability.

This position requires strong leadership and technical skills, along with experience in managing internal platforms or developer tooling. A hybrid work environment is offered to promote work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineers on internal platforms or developer tooling.
• Strong technical judgment in user-facing engineering workflows.
• Experience working with engineering customers to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for internal platforms.
• Define standards for internal developer-facing platforms' usability and support.
• Set technical direction for systems across UI frameworks and tooling.

Skills

Management of internal platforms

Technical judgment across distributed systems

Experience with backend languages (Go, Python, Java)

Fluency in frontend or product-surface
