Job summary

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our core team and balance design with implementation to advance the technical foundation of the product offering.

The role focuses on an efficient extract-load-transform system supporting hundreds of connectors with minimal maintenance, across modern and legacy environments. Hybrid work from our Novi Sad office is available.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with strong design and implementation skills.
• Experience evolving high-performance extract-load-transform systems.
• Ability to reason about relational semantics, data representation and performance.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, high-impact team and iterate in production.

Responsibilities

• Learn deeply about Fivetran to focus development on practical system improvements.
• Contribute to development and planning of the roadmap.
• Collaborate with core team and broader stakeholders.
• Work across requirements, design, prototype, implementation, review, release, and monitoring.
• Review and approve pull requests.
• Take ownership of the product and improve it.
