Job summary

Google Kirkland, WA is seeking an Software Engineering Manager to lead Identity Onboarding initiatives within Google Cloud Platform. You will guide multiple engineering teams, define technical direction, and drive onboarding optimization at scale.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets, partner with product teams, and ensure secure, scalable identity onboarding experiences. Required: strong leadership and 8+ years in software development, plus AI tooling experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of software development experience.
3 years in a technical leadership role.
2 years in people management or team leadership.
Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Responsibilities

Direct and build a team of individual contributors to re-engineer GCP onboarding and build a reusable platform.
Navigate multiple organizations and align engineering efforts across product areas; present progress to senior leadership.
Architect solutions balancing frictionless UX with strong security and compliance requirements.
Build, manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team across the GCP/Google identity stack.
