Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks an Engineering Manager I - Software Development to oversee the engineering, deployment, and sustainment of cloud-based and AI-enabled cybersecurity platforms. You will translate designs into secure, scalable implementations and lead a team of cybersecurity engineers and solution architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline.
• Experience with large-scale software development and automation is expected.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral development methodologies.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and security monitoring tools.
• Manage and tune IT security systems and applications.
• Audit and manage system and network access, maintaining an active directory of authorized users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security integration in all IT projects.
• Oversee planning, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure for cybersecurity and AI platforms.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure engineering best practices and security standards.
• Lead onboarding, mentorship, and career development for engineering teams.
• Provide career path support and conduct performance evaluations.
