Job summary

snc’s IAS business area seeks an Engineering Manager I to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in an agile environment, delivering high-quality, on-time, within-budget solutions while advancing technical leadership and process improvements. You will supervise a team, manage budgets, oversee design/documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and communicate with senior management.

This role emphasizes mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field).
• 6+ years of engineering experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of engineers and coordinate their activities to meet project goals and timelines.
• Manage project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses.
• Oversee the design, documentation, and approval processes for engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in management meetings, representing the engineering department.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members.
• Coordinate training programs to develop the technical skills of the engineering team.
• Present project updates and technical data to senior management and stakeholders.
