Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced engineering leader to direct the Hogan-based core banking applications, driving modernization, integration, and production support. You will mentor a team of engineers and partner with business leaders to translate banking needs into scalable technical solutions.

Role requires strong leadership, architectural vision, and hands-on experience with mainframe tech. Location-based work and a focus on reliability, security, and regulatory compliance are essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6-8 years of relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of leading a software engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers responsible for Hogan-based core banking applications.
• Drive the successful execution of application development, enhancement, integration, and production support initiatives across the Hogan ecosystem.
• Partner with business leaders, product owners, and technology stakeholders to translate banking requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Establish engineering best practices, development standards, operational processes, and quality controls to ensure reliable system performance.
• Oversee application stability, incident management, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement for business-critical banking platforms.
• Lead modernization efforts, identifying opportunities to improve architecture, automation, operational efficiency, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to support strategic technology and business objectives.
• Manage project delivery, resource planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communications while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
