Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America seeks ambitious engineers to lead the world’s largest lithium ion battery initiative. You will drive manufacturing processes, scale, and continuous improvement within a high‑volume production environment at PECNA’s site.

The role emphasizes leadership, research, process optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high quality batteries for EV and energy storage applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering or related discipline.
• Preferred MS or PhD in related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Managing others and directing the Manufacturing Engineering team.
• Interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff; planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance.
• Conducting research to develop new and improved battery manufacturing processes.
• Designing, planning layout, and overseeing equipment for battery manufacturing at scale.
• Analyzing procedures and equipment to reduce time and costs.
• Designing measurement and control systems based on lab data.
• Determining optimal unit operation arrangements considering safety and economics.
• Establishing procedures for operators and technicians in Li-ion manufacturing.
• Performing tests to monitor process control and quality.
• Applying chemical engineering principles to environmental problems.
