Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team building the finance platform that posts every event exactly once and maintains an audit-grade ledger and accounting engine. You will hire and grow the team, setting a high bar for production systems and reliability.

You will work with Billing, Compute, and Infra to define data contracts, APIs, and observability, ensuring traceability from source events to the final books and supporting fast, compliant product enablement.

Competenze

• Experience leading teams that build and run high-volume backend systems where correctness matters.
• Experience building or running event-driven systems with idempotent processing, replay, and backfill.
• Strong judgment on platform boundaries, data contracts, and API design.
• Experience hiring and growing engineers and setting engineering standards for platforms.
• Ability to work across functions with upstream engineering teams, finance, and auditors, and to explain technical trade-offs clearly.

Mansioni

• Lead and grow a team of engineers: hire, coach, and maintain high engineering quality.
• Own delivery of the front door for finance events and its contracts, plus the accounting ledger and engine.
• Ensure production services used by other teams are reliable and traceable in real time.
• Provide platform support through SDKs, frameworks, access controls, SOX guardrails, and observability.
• Define and maintain reliability and correctness via SLOs, tests, and daily checks from source to books.
• Align on design, data contracts, and APIs with Billing, Compute, and Infra teams.
• Reduce time to support new products and compute buildouts.
