Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Experimentation team. You will guide the end-to-end development of the core experimentation product, from setup to results processing and display, balancing people leadership with technical direction.

You’ll partner with PMs, design, and cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable features, improve observability and incident response, and scale a platform used by large engineering organizations to make data‑driven

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in people management.
• Experience partnering with Product Management to translate business goals into engineering plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication for distributed teams.
• Proven track record coaching engineers and leading high‑performing teams.
• Familiarity with production incident response and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and career growth opportunities.
• Partner with PM and Design to scope, estimate, and sequence roadmap items, making scope tradeoffs in real time.
• Own the team's delivery of features, ensuring completion within timelines and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams on shared infrastructure decisions and cross-team dependencies.
• Communicate roadmaps, risks, and progress clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build team working norms that promote collaboration and engagement.
• Drive operational excellence — improve reliability, observability, and incident response for production data infrastructure.
• Participate in hiring to grow the team and raise the engineering bar.
