Job summary

Tyler Technologies seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building cloud-native AWS solutions for Enterprise Justice in Plano, TX. You will partner with PM, architecture, and peers to deliver high-quality software on a modern platform, including a legacy .NET stack.

In this role, you will coach engineers, drive Agile and DevOps practices, and focus on continuous improvement, metrics, and cloud modernization while maintaining strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years leading software engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong DevOps and modern software delivery practices including CI/CD pipeline design and operation.
• Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum or similar) and SDLC methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers building cloud-native AWS-native features and a legacy .NET stack.
• Collaborate with product management, architecture, platform operations, and support to align priorities with business goals.
• Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback and growth planning; foster continuous improvement and accountability.
• Drive adoption of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to improve delivery velocity, quality, and reliability.
• Balance roadmap execution with production support and prioritization across multiple workstreams.
• Define and track KPIs to measure team health and delivery effectiveness.
• Contribute to cloud modernization efforts and evolution of Enterprise Justice products.
• Champion process improvements, tooling enhancements, and engineering best practices.
