Job summary

Ascensus is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager, Enterprise AI Platform, to lead a cross-functional team delivering production‑grade AI‑enabled software. You’ll stay close to code and help remove blockers while shaping a modern operating model for enterprise AI delivery.

You will mentor engineers, SDETs, DevOps, and support staff, drive high‑performance practices, and partner with product, architecture, and business leaders to deliver reliable AI solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring software engineers or related team members.
• Stays technically engaged with codebase, architecture, and tooling with occasional hands-on contribution.
• Strong understanding of modern software practices: clean code, source control, unit testing, CI/CD, design patterns, refactoring, maintainability, production support.
• Experience delivering with software delivery teams including software engineers, SDETs, DevOps engineers, support engineers, and quality engineers.
• Strong Agile background and modern engineering team workflows.
• Ability to develop associates through coaching, feedback, goal setting, and career development planning.
• Ability to create a high-performance, ownership-driven team environment.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience hiring and growing teams; aligns with enterprise AI platform goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CIS, or related field.
