Job summary

Resource Innovations in Chicago seeks an Engineering Manager to lead energy efficiency and DSM program engineering. You will guide engineers to identify energy savings measures, quantify project economics, and support implementation while ensuring deliverables meet standards.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree, 8+ years in DSM/building efficiency, strong leadership and communication, and is willing to travel up to 20%. PE or CEM preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, refrigeration, and motors.
• 8+ years of experience within the DSM or building efficiency industry.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers to deliver energy efficiency programs and technical services.
• Oversee energy modeling, economic analysis, and project reviews to quantify savings.
• Collaborate with clients to achieve program energy savings goals and deliverables.
• Ensure high quality deliverables and timely project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and support for energy audits and retro-commissioning services.
