Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Engineering Manager for VMEC-EB Electrification New Markets to lead calibration, simulation, testing, and validation for battery and autonomous vehicle controls. You will build and develop a high-performing team, define strategies, and ensure embedded software meets safety, quality, and program readiness.

You will partner with systems, controls, and software teams to identify risks, resolve complex integration challenges, and deliver production-ready embedded

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years in embedded control systems, calibration, simulation, validation, testing, or safety-critical systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical and/or people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers for calibration, simulation, testing, validation, and release readiness.
• Set goals, expectations, and development plans aligned with program priorities.
• Mentor engineers and leaders to promote collaboration and accountability.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage engineering activities and resource allocation.
