Job summary

Plata Card seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the DWH Data Tools team responsible for our data ecosystem tools, including Superset, Jupyter Hub, and DataHub. You will blend technical leadership with people management, guiding architecture, development, and product-aligned solutions for evolving business needs.

The role requires strong leadership with Python, Go and Node.js expertise, plus proven experience managing engineering teams and data platforms in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing engineering teams in fast-paced settings, preferably fintech.
• Strong leadership, hiring, development, performance and delivery management.
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and manage data tools and data platforms.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers; conduct regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate vision into actionable designs.
• Plan and manage development plans with flexible deadlines and changing priorities.
• Oversee architecture, design, and development of data tools (Superset, Jupyter Hub, DataHub).
• Communicate with data engineers, analysts and stakeholders to ensure data integration and usability.
