Job summary

CesiumAstro is hiring an Engineering Manager, Digital & Mixed-Signal Hardware to lead high-speed digital and mixed-signal hardware teams across multiple product lines. You will own technical direction, drive architecture reviews, and ensure scalable, manufacturable designs for space and defense platforms.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, requiring strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
• 7+ years of direct digital or mixed-signal hardware engineering experience, aerospace preferred.
• Deep expertise in high-speed digital and mixed-signal board design.
• Experience with RF, power, firmware interfaces and cross-disciplinary reviews.
• Experience with DFM/DFT and transition from development to production.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and engineering excellence for high-speed digital and mixed-signal electronics development.
• Establish, mature, scale, and enforce engineer-friendly hardware development processes and design guidelines.
• Lead architecture and design reviews with SME engagement across digital, RF, power, firmware, and mechanical.
• Contribute to board-level digital/mixed-signal designs as needed in high-risk programs.
• Lead or support complex debug efforts involving high-speed interfaces and large FPGA implementations.
• Ensure designs are buildable and testable at scale using DFM/DFT practices.
• Drive handoff from engineering to manufacturing with supply chain and production test teams.
