Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in software development and managing resources.
• Experience with at least 2 software development methodologies.
• Metadata and data pipeline management for data discovery, lineage, and governance.
• Establishing data quality processes and monitoring across large-scale datasets.
• Experience with distributed systems and SQL query execution.
• Must have at least 4 years hands-on experience with Hive Metastore and federated designs.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of solutions to problems with a significantly increased level of complexity (technical or organizational).
• Establish and maintain the right squad and processes to deliver quality solutions and unblock impediments.
• Create an engineering squad from scratch and lead CI/CD within the squad.
• Track work, visualize progress and measure delivery rate.
• Ensure commitments are met and coordinate with other squads for dependencies or integrations.
• Drive efficient delivery and agile coding practices with zero defects where possible.
• Provide clear objectives and career paths, monitor performance and support professional development.
• Share knowledge with users and stakeholders and adapt delivery approach to problem needs.
• Implement improvements to software delivery methods and measure rate and quality of code delivered.
