Job summary

Doximity, the leading healthcare network, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale data pipelines, collaborate with product and ML teams, and drive data-driven insights across the organization.

You will oversee a team of engineers, balance hands-on work with mentoring, and contribute to a data strategy that informs product decisions. This role offers SF headquarters or remote options across the US and Canada.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role.
• Experience creating automated testing, applying design patterns, and other engineering best practices.
• Expert in Python with fluency in SQL and have built maintainable data pipelines.
• Experience managing 3+ people and driving their growth and success.
• Excellent communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Player-coach capable of contributing individually and mentoring others.
• Led end-to-end projects from idea to planning, execution and delivery.
• Awareness of ML/AI deployment and monitoring to advance data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and ML engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks to extract insights.
• Establish data architecture processes that can be scheduled, automated, and reused by other teams.
• Participate in execution and planning of the data team strategy.
• Align with Data Leadership to ensure success across the Data Organization.
• Manage individual Data Engineers to foster learning and growth.
• Work with over 500 private Github repositories containing pipelines and internal tools.
