The City and County of San Francisco seeks an Engineering Manager to lead development of DHR's data infrastructure and hiring systems. You will supervise engineers building data pipelines, integrations, and cloud applications, ensuring secure, efficient, and user-centered HR processes across the City.

You will collaborate with product staff, subject matter experts, and engineers, prioritize work, review designs, and contribute hands-on when needed to meet urgent requests while maintaining

Formación

• Five years of information systems experience, including system analysis and IT project management.
• Experience supervising software engineers or technical teams.
• Experience with data pipelines, system integrations, and cloud applications.
• Knowledge of privacy and security best practices for handling sensitive data.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise data engineers and backend engineers responsible for data infrastructure.
• Prioritize and triage engineering work balancing short-term needs and long-term improvements.
• Review code quality and design; provide actionable feedback.
• Contribute hands-on development when needed.
• Translate requirements into data pipelines and backend services.

• Oversee integrations with enterprise platforms ensuring data consistency.
