Job summary

Snap Inc. in Bellevue, WA, seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager for its Core Infrastructure team within Platform Engineering. You will mentor backend and full‑stack engineers, drive strategy, and deliver on large‑scale Compute infrastructure that powers Ads, Content, and ML platforms.

You will collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams, evaluate trade‑offs, and hire and grow top talent in a fast‑paced, impact‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of post‑Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s +7+ years; or PhD +3+ years.
• 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of backend and full‑stack developers in a fast‑paced, quick‑to‑market environment.
• Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead the team to deliver.
• Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science and Engineering teams and executives.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and provide strong technical mentorship.
• Hire, grow and retain high‑performing team members.
